Outside of his medical profession, Francisco enjoys philantropic work. After Hurricane María, he co-founded Médicos por Puerto Rico and Por los Nuestros, two non-profit organizations created to provide medical aid and promote resilient energy projects in the island. He also serves on the Board of Director of the Boston College Alumni Association, the University of Puerto Rico Pediatric Hospital Foundation, the Radiological Society of Puerto Rico and is a former Councilor for the Puerto Rico Chapter of the American College of Radiology. Francisco enjoys travelling, running, skiing, tennis and spending time with his family and friends.

He attended the University of Miami for his under graduate studies. He received his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania and medical degree at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his training as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in a six-year residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He then completed a fellowship in Charleston, West Virginia. Dr. Sheikh is very actively involved in the community where he serves as a deacon at The Avenue Church in Delray Beach, FL. He has recently attended multiple mission trips to Mexico, Nicaragua, Bolivia and Guatemala. His academic achievements have included multiple manuscripts and presentations. Although all of these activities keep him very busy he always makes time for his wonderful wife Andrea and their daughters, Gianna and Gabriella. Jason and his wife Andrea developed a passion for marathon running in 2022. Jason has run the Disney, New York City and Chicago Marathons and is looking forward to running Boston with the PMF foundation team.
