Bank of America "Sports with Us" Clinic: Inspiring Boston Youth Through Sports

As part of the Sports with Us initiative sponsored by Bank of America, the Pedro Martínez Foundation participated in a unique sports clinic that brought together youth from various Boston communities with athletes and mentors dedicated to their holistic development. The event focused on promoting values such as teamwork, perseverance, and discipline, using sports as a powerful tool for social transformation.

More than 100 students from Hennigan K-8 School in Boston took part in the clinic, rotating through six activity stations focused on baseball, football, endurance, and financial education. Pedro Martínez, Baseball Hall of Famer and co-founder of the Foundation, led the baseball station, where he worked directly with the youth—not only teaching them the fundamentals of the game but also sharing valuable life lessons. Through hands-on activities and motivational conversations, Pedro emphasized the importance of teamwork both on and off the field, reminding participants that collaboration, respect, and communication are key to success in any area of life.

The clinic offered more than just a sports experience; it created a space where youth felt seen, supported, and inspired by leaders who believe in their potential. Events like this reflect the Pedro Martínez Foundation’s commitment—along with partners like Bank of America—to continue investing in young people, empowering them to build meaningful and purposeful futures.
